As a Richmond City Commissioner, what is the role of the city in creating and sustaining community "green areas" throughout the city?

Thank you for your question. Our community possess a unique blend of big city conveniences with small town charm and since of place that makes it a very attractive place both to live and do business. As a city commissioner it will be my job to effectively manage our community’s growth while preserving and restoring the green space that makes us what we are. This can be done through a variety of programs including those that provide small grants for neighborhoods to take on beautification projects near their own homes, and new policies that require developers to maintain a minimum amount of park space within any new build.
