RICHMOND - Police arrested a man for second degree assault after a domestic disturbance Thursday.

Police arrested and charged Jeremy Seale, age 27, Meadowlark Drive, for assault following a disturbance at an apartment in the 100 block of Meadowlark Drive.

At approximately 4:00 P.M., police were dispatched to the apartment to investigate a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed Seale brandishing a baseball bat toward another male. Officers disarmed Seale and detained him.

Further investigation revealed that Seale had not struck anyone with the bat. However, it was determined that he had struck the other male at the residence several times in the head with a soft drink bottle, causing lacerations and bumps to the skull. The victim was treated at the scene by Madison County EMS and released.

Seale was charged for Assault 2nd Degree and lodged in the MCDC.
